We’ve already seen talented artists such as Brent Faiyaz, Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, Jhené Aiko, Tame Impala and Myke Towers release their works, yet there are more artists lying in the cut and waiting for the perfect opportunity to finally allow their works to see the daylight. Let's find out who they are!

Drake - TBA

The modern rap icon has given us so many classics ranging from his magnum opus, Take Care to Views and Nothing Was The Same. However, the artist has been very low-key with his process and informed Rap Radar during his session with Elliot Wilson that he’s rather taking his time to relax and enjoy life. He still dropped “Money In The Grave” and “Omertà” as well as high-charting banger with Future on “Life Is Good.” which is currently battling Roddy Rich’s “The Box” for the coveted spot on the Hot 100 chart.

The artist has also released a couple other songs on Soundcloud such as “Desires”, “Chicago Freestyle” and “When To Say When.” At this point, it's only right for the spear-header of Republic Records to finally drop his album.

Lana Del Rey - White Hot Fever

One of the biggest stars of dark pop is rumored to be dropping a follow-up album after the release of her recent classic, Norman Fucking Rockwell. Lana is championed for pioneering the feelings of vulnerability and dreamy vibes in pop. Her upcoming album, White Hot Forever might follow the path of her greatness in the pop music scene.

Rihanna - R9

It’s been four years since Rihanna dropped ANTI, probably the most experimental album she’s ever created as it was celebrated by numerous news sites such as Rolling Stone and Pitchfork as one of the best albums of the 2010s.

Now with the successful development of her makeup line, Fenty Beauty, Rihana doesn’t even need to drop music again. Her pop career is already solidified. Yet, she has occasionally dropped hints of her album’s status and pictures working with Pharrell Williams. Unfortunately, we may never know if R9 may see the light of the day.

J. Cole - The Fall Off

Cole was on a roll after he partnered with many excellent artists to release the Dreamville classic, Revenge Of The Dreamers III. The album was well received and featured songs such as “Costa Rica” with Guapdap 4000, Bas and JID as well as “Under the Sun” with DaBaby.

On the other hand, we are all familiar with Cole going platinum with no features on albums such as KOD, 4 Your Eyez Only and 2014 Forest Hills Drive, thus it’s only right that he continues this same route with his upcoming album, The Fall Off.

The Weeknd - After Hours

Abel is a mastermind with promotions and his ability to regularly undergo different visual phases such as growing his hair out to promote his recent classic, Beauty Behind The Madness and chopping his famous look off and adorning a new persona with Starboy, deserve a lot of credit.

Now, with the release of lead singles; “Heartless”, “Blinding Lights” and “After Hours”, Abel Tesfaye is ready to drop his sixth chapter with After Hours. The fourteen-track album is set to revisit themes present in Kiss Land and Trilogy while retaining elements in recent works such as My Dear Melancholy. The entire XO crew currently awaits its arrival on March 20th.

Adele - 30

In fact, we all know the immense influence the singer has in the music industry. 21 and 25 are classified as diamond albums and the singer isn’t ready to halt her journey. Despite being on a hiatus for more than four years, it seems the British singer is ready to drop her upcoming album, 30. No further information has been provided, thus we can only wait in anticipation for now.

It’s been almost three years since SZA dropped her Grammy-nominated album CTRL, which featured fan-favorites such as “Love Galore” and “The Weekend.” Fortunately, it seems that the singer has been on her grind to finally release her upcoming project. Special guests rumored to be featured on her album include Post Malone, BROCKHAMPTON and Justin Timberlake.

Cardi B - Tiger Woods

The Dominican-American rapper achieved a ton of success in 2018, in which she dropped her critically-acclaimed and most successful album to date, Invasion of Privacy. The Grammy-award winning album set the stage for the singer to achieve worldwide success as she managed to achieve two number-one charting singles with “I Like It” and “Bodak Yellow.” The singer has subsequently released promotional singles such as “Press”, “Money” and “Yes” to draw some attention.

Billie Eilish - TBA

Billie’s just a teenager yet she’s achieved immense success with her musical projects and became the youngest artist ever to win awards in the four general-field categories (album of the year, song of the year, record of the year and best new artist).

WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? was worth the entire hype and spawned her hit singles such as “Bad Guy”, “My Strange Addiction” and “You Should See Me In A Crown.” The Los Angeles singer recently released a new single “Everything I Wanted” as well as the James Bond lead soundtrack “No Time To Die.”

Young Thug - Punk

So Much Fun deserves a lot of praise for its production, quality of music and Thugga’s bars and creativity. Jeffrey finally made his magnum opus, however, it is time for him to continue through that path of success.

Punk is rumored to be his next album and according to his interview with The Fader, Punk is set to reintroduce “real rap” to the world. The album is supposed to be dropping this month and slime season is only going to get lit from here.

Rauw Alejandro - TBA

Puerto Rican singer, Rauw Alejandro, is one of my favorite singers and his upcoming project is set to propel him to stardom. His debut album, Punto de Equilibrio and mixtape, Trap Cake, Vol. 1 has been able to entice numerous fans, yet we are all awaiting his album after listening to some of his promotional singles such as “Fantasías” with Farruko, “Una Noche” with Wisin and “Tattoo.” Hopefully, Rauw will be able to enchant the world with his seductive sound on his new project.

Kendrick Lamar - TBA

Kendrick has never missed with his albums. The concept, themes, lyricism, stories and gems thrown in blend in a way that he needs them to be. Kendrick dropped DAMN, To Pimp A Butterfly and Good Kid M.A.A.D. City all in the same decade and their effects on hip-hop still resonate till this day. He is the only one that can set the standard for 2020 and beyond and we’ll be happy to witness his greatness once again.

The Catalan-singer dubbed as the new queen of Flamenco has made many waves across the world with her unique sound. She arguably dropped one of the greatest projects of the decade with El Mal Querer which featured some of her best work such as “Malamente”, “Reniego”, “Di Mi Nombre” & “Bagdad.”

She has now partnered with music juggernauts such as Ozuna, J. Balvin on “Con Altura” and Travis Scott on “Highest In The Room (Remix).” She has hinted the release of her upcoming album with singles such as “Juro Que”, “A Palé” and “Aute Cuture.” At this point, our job is to wait.

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red

For one of the pioneers of feel-good music and a huge advocate for catchy instrumentals, it seems Carti is not gonna slip with his sound. Die Lit was a fantastic project that showed his range in his dreamy feel for music as well as his flow with other great artists such as Skepta, Travis Scott, Gunna and Nicki Minaj.

With Whole Lotta Red, Carti plans to show us some lyrical prowess as he hinted in a recent interview. He has since worked with Tyler, The Creator on “Earfquake” and Solange on “Almeda.” It’s time to hear his ad-libs and baby voice on playful beats again.

Joey Bada$$ - TBA

The Leader of Pro Era might probably drop his third studio album this year as he has hinted many times through social media. Escape From New York was his recent collab album that united many members of Pro Era to record with The Underachievers and Flatbush Zombies. His latest project, The ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ was nothing short of greatness and Badmon is ready to continue his journey to shed light on the New York rap scene.

Frank Ocean - TBA

When it comes to Frank Ocean, standards for albums are beyond the stratosphere. Channel Orange and Blonde were two of the best albums of the past decade and it seems that the singer cannot miss.

Even nostalgia, ULTRA deserves immense praise. Yet the artist has hinted at his album release for some years. He released “Chanel” and “Biking” in 2017 as well as “In My Room” and “DHL” last year. He’s also going to headline Coachella this year. Thus, it is only right for us to speculate his album’s release when it seems that all the stars are finally aligned.

Jhay Cortez - TBA

The Puerto Rican singer released his second studio album to worldwide success as El Guru of Rapetón deemed it the best reggaeton album of the year. Famouz encapsulated everything you would like to hear from an album; originality, great flow and songwriting as well as a coherent sound and theme.

Jhay recently released “Medusa” with Anuel AA and J. Balvin as well as remixes to songs such as “Imaginaste” with Wisin Y Yandel, “Easy” with Ozuna and “Subiendo de Nivel” with Myke Towers. He’s not slated to be on tour and has occasionally showed snippets of his new projects. Hopefully, this may be the year where he topples Famouz.

DaniLeigh - TBA

DaniLeigh is one of the hardest working rappers in the game right now and she’s up to the challenge to prove that she’s more than just her remixed hit song “Easy” with Chris Brown. She has since released multiple videos to songs such as “No Limits” and “Cravin” with G-Eazy, as well as dropping an EP, My Present in December. She has hinted about her new album several times on her Instagram account and now the only time to release it is now.

Wizkid - TBA

Starboy is set to reign for another decade with his impeccable flow and amazing songwriting skills. He has transitioned from his playboy fun era to develop a much more mature sound. Songs such as “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyonce achieved a lot of success and attention for the Lion King movie, however, others such as “Joro”, “Master Groove” and “Ghetto Love” make notice of this.

His recent project, SoundMan Vol.1 featured acts such as Chronixx and DJ Tunez and ushered a diverse sound that many may find novel.

Alicia Keys - ALICIA

The legendary R&B singer has her upcoming album Alicia hitting the stores on May 15th. The 15-track album includes lead singles such as “Show Me” with Miguel as well as “Time Machine” and “Underdog.” HERE brought in some themes of neo soul and it seems she’s undertaking a new approach with her album to have people guessing.

Migos - Culture III

The Atlanta trio needs no further explanation and deserves huge credit for spearheading the southern rap scene. With Culture III on the way, all we can do is speculate the impending collaborations and themes throughout their project.

The group released “Position To win” back in 2019 and recently, “Give No Fxk” with Travis Scott and Young Thug. Two of these songs have been fantastic and with the rappers in their prime, it wouldn't be shocking to see Culture III crown their efforts.

Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia

Dua Lipa’s electric vibe is absolutely catchy and offers very comforting music to influence as many dance moves as possible. The upcoming solo album seems to be an album without any notable features, thus allowing many fans to listen to her true voice and appreciate her creative intentions.

The album has been supported by lead singles such as “Physical” and banger “Don’t Start Now.” The album will probably be nothing short of energy and that’s why her fans can’t wait for its release.

Normani - TBA

The singer most-known for her role in the former girl group, Fifth Harmony, is allegedly dropping her debut album since the split. Normani has received a ton of support for her solo efforts and songs released so far. Notable songs include “Checklist” with Wizkid, “Motivation” and “Dancing with a Stranger” with Sam Smith.

So far, all her songs have been excellent and it’s only right for her to culminate everything with a coherent debut album.

A$AP Rocky - TBA

Flacko dropped his most experimental album to date with Testing and it didn’t receive the desired attention he craved. It somehow lacked the energy that other classic albums such as AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP and LONG.LIVE.A$AP had.

Fortunately, his enormous fanbase is hoping for a new album to reinforce his influence in the rap scene. He has headlined the Rolling Loud festival and released the single “Babushka Boi” last year. Hopefully, Flacko listens to the wishes of his fans.

Hopefully, this list got you waiting for your favorite artist to release their masterpieces. Well, share your thoughts in the comment section to inform us about your favorite upcoming project and the accompanying reason.
